AYADA South Sudan organized Community Engagement program with support from UNDP South Sudan
On Friday, January 17, 2025, the unexpected outbreak attacks organized by the South Sudanese citizens on the innocent Sudanese communities in Wau, Western Bahr el Ghazal State due to the tragic incident on South Sudanese in Wad Madeni, AL Gezira state in Sudan.
On Tuesday, January 21, 2025, AYADA South Sudan in collaboration with the Network of Civil Society Organizations (NoCSOs) leadership with support from UNDP South Sudan, organized an outreach programs through radio talk show and reach out to the South Sudanese Citizens in Wau, Western Bahr el Ghazal State transform not to take law into their hands, calling for reconciliation and allows Sudanese Citizens and traders in Wau to resume their normal duties without violence. The initiative aims at rebuild confidence and trust among the South Sudanese and Sudanese National to promote peaceful coexistence and respect for human rights in Western Bahr el Ghazal State – Wau.
As such, We urge government to conduct confident and trust rebuilding dialogue between Sudanese Nationals and south Sudanese Citizens to grantee voluntary return of Sudanese Nationals to their residential areas and businesses.
