Who we are:

Agriculture Youth Action for Development Agency (AYADA) is a youth led and non-profit organization founded in 2016 by young South Sudanese professionals.

AYADA is officially registered with the South Sudan Relief and Rehabilitation Commission [RRC] under registration No: 3627.

AYADA’s work aims at saving lives of vulnerable groups from violence, extreme poverty and social injustices through innovative programs in agriculture, food security and climate resilience, education, general protection, peace-building, and water, hygiene and sanitation (WASH) in South Sudan.

AYADA strengthens existing capacities of women and youth structures to indirectly advocate against human rights violations in their respective their localities.

AYADA’s donors and partners include IOM, UNFPA, USAID, UNDP, UNHCR, UNESCO, SFCG, DRC, EDC, DT-Global and UNMISS.

A leading organization that inspires young people to promote social justice and overcome poverty in a dignified and secure peaceful environment for all.

Our Mission Statement

To save lives of vulnerable groups, fight poverty and promote social justice through innovative programs in South Sudan.

  • We improve and increase the agricultural production and productivity for food security and sustainable livelihoods and promote climate resilience among the poor, the marginalized, and people with special needs in South Sudan.
  • We provide training skills for young women and young men on personal development, technical, leadership skills and support youth institutions on the implementation and monitoring of programmes and policies in South Sudan.
  • We strengthen community resilience, through capacity building of community based protection systems, statutory and traditional legal/justice system, with relevant knowledge and skills in general protection.
  • We provide an inclusive education opportunities for every child in the rural areas – both boys and girls to have access to quality education without gender discrimination.
  • We promote social cohesion and social mobilization among young women, young men and their communities through peace building and reconciliation activities in areas affected by conflicts in South Sudan.
  • We improve access to inclusive and sustainable WASH services through a dual focus on sustainable service expansion through infrastructure development and professionalized operations and maintenance.
