AYADA

  1. Agriculture Youth Action for Development Agency (AYADA) is a youth led and non-profit organization founded in 2016 by young South Sudanese professionals.
  2. AYADA’s work aims at saving lives of vulnerable groups from violence, extreme poverty and social injustices through innovative programs in agriculture, food security and climate resilience, education, general protection, peace-building, and water, hygiene and sanitation (WASH) in South Sudan.
  3. AYADA strengthens existing capacities of women and youth structures to indirectly advocate against human rights violations in their respective localities.AYADA’s donors and partners include IOM, UNFPA, USAID, UNDP, UNHCR, UNESCO, SFCG, DRC, EDC, USAID/DT-Global and UNMISS.

  • Excellence in Performance: AYADA works to ensure that its programmes are of high quality, effective and efficient. The programmes must be results-oriented and achieving the desired results with gender and age sensitivity.
  • Partnership: AYADA works respectfully in collaboration with government, persons with special needs, and persons of concern, host communities, the private sector, and the donors, bringing together the unique resources of all to achieve common objectives.

In our works, we seek to understand the views and ideas of others, as well as to recognize the positive contributions of each person, to build strong relationships within and beyond AYADA.

The timely and regular exchange of quality information – between headquarters and field offices, board members, and our partners – provides the basis for informed, consultative decision-making in our operations.

We prioritise engagement with young women and young men from economically or socially marginalised and vulnerable communities and contexts. Our programmes include and affirm diversities of caste, gender, religion, community, location, body diversity and class. We work with adolescents, young women and young men between 9 to 30 years of age as primary participants and leaders in our programmes. Our programmes work with Christian and Muslim communities as well as urban and rural poor communities across our intervention areas with a focus on ensuring at least 65% outreach activities to young women and girls. Our programmes and advocacy initiatives have reached rural and urban communities ­across 5 states plus 2 administrative areas in South Sudan.
